<body> <h1>Digital Content Manager (div/f/m)</h1> <h2>Berghof Foundation Operations GmbH, Berlin</h2> <p> Digital Content Manager (div/f/m) The full-time position will be based in Berlin, Germany, starting as soon as possible. The Berghof Foundation is an independent, nonprofit organisation working to prevent political and social violence and to achieve sustainable peace around the world. We have over 45 years of experience in peace support, conflict transformation research and peace education. Headquartered in Berlin, the NGO is run by a diverse team and works with local partners around the world. The organisation has tripled in size over the past five years and has recently decided to invest in communications as part of its further growth strategy. The Communications Department was established in October 2018 and we are now looking for experienced and motivated professionals to join the team and build up the areas of media and public relations as well as online communications in order to increase the organisation's visibility. Main tasks and responsibilities: Shape and enhance the Berghof Foundation's digital presence, online communications and editorial content by Planning and overseeing the redesign and relaunch of the Berghof Foundation's website Developing and implementing digital communications plans for global and regional/thematic work Identifying opportunities to reach new and existing audiences Drafting and editing content for the website, including web articles and blog posts, as well as the newsletter Briefing, liaising with and managing external contractors for the delivery of digital services, including web developers and designers Ensuring the smooth running of Berghoffoundation. org and the fixing of problems as they occur Ensuring website content is kept up to date and redundant content is deleted Ensuring evaluation systems are in place for all online communications efforts Ensuring professional online style standards in design, tone and method of communications Leading the production and dissemination of the Annual Report Providing communications training and expert advice to staff, as required Ensuring evaluation systems are in place for all online communications efforts Ensuring professional online style standards in design, tone and method of communications Leading the production and dissemination of the Annual Report Providing communications training and expert advice to staff, as required Qualifications, knowledge and experience: University degree in communications, political science, journalism, international affairs or other relevant fields Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in online communications in an international organisation Proven track record in CMS, web management, developing and implementing digital strategies Working knowledge of HTML/CSS an asset Experience of overseeing a website relaunch an asset Advanced ability to communicate using social media, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and integrate social media into digital communications planning Experience in digital campaigning and e-newsletter marketing an asset Excellent communications skills in English (to native speaker standard) required; additional languages, in particular German, Arabic and/or Spanish, are an asset Excellent writing and editing skills essential Photo, audio, and video editing skills an asset Additional Skills: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Demonstrated flexibility, initiative and creativity Strong organisational skills and ability to effectively manage priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment High level of intercultural competence, diplomacy and political sensitivity Ability to communicate complex information simply and effectively Knowledge of and considerable interest in peace and conflict issues and international affairs The contract duration will initially be limited to 2 years, with the possibility of extension.
