Director Internal Communications (m/f/d) Full Time Paderborn, Germany With Professional-Experience 8/2/19 Your Tasks: The Director, EMEA Internal Communications is responsible for working closely with the VP, Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility to develop and drive the Enterprise Communications strategy throughout the EMEA region. This position will play a key role in translating the business strategy and associated transformation initiatives into a practical and achievable and communication plan for the EMEA region. This individual will work closely with the entire internal communications team and provide counsel to senior leaders, managing multiple communication projects for key stakeholders to drive participation and understanding across programs. This individual would also work closely with IR and External communications to draft messages related to financial performance. Finally, they would work with creative and design teams to ensure alignment to branding and key themes.   This position reports to the VP, Internal Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility.  Essential Functions Serve as a consultant aligned to senior leaders in the EMEA region to proactively develop integrated communication strategies, including suggestions for appropriate audience, channel, message and time frame to meet strategic objectives of the business. Ensure the planning, development, and execution of communications that consider specific audiences/levels in the company; address the unique needs of the business units and EMEA region; are consistent and aligned with DN's practices, brand standards, and other initiatives/global messages. Leverage global materials and draft new materials for a wide range of communication channels (webcasts, face-to-face, video, online, print, social media, etc.) to engage and inform employees within the EMEA region.  Measure effectiveness of communication activities and use feedback to improve future efforts.  Participate and provide input to the global communication strategy, and determine local / targeted communication strategies as appropriate for the EMEA region. Provide input on local/regional issues to determine communication needs as well as adapt global communications to meet local needs. Manage translation of corporate materials as needed using internal resources (as appropriate) or a third-party. Measure effectiveness of communication activities and use feedback to improve future efforts.  Coordination with marketing/external communications for written communications and event planning. Management of regional intranet content. Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.       Your Profile Bachelor's degree in business, journalism or relevant field. Fluency in German and English. Experience managing internal communications and change management in a global company preferred.  Demonstrated effectiveness in developing narratives, leadership communications, and communications strategies and tactical execution. Ability to synthesize diverse activities into clear and compelling frameworks to help stakeholders understand how discrete actions support a broader agenda. Problem solving/critical thinking - approaches challenges and problems in a rational, thoughtful manner that assures understanding and effective resolution. Experience leading online communications strategies including intranet site, print campaigns, e-mail, social media, or mobile communication. Understanding and experience executing change management methodologies. Understanding and experience drafting executive messages. Advanced MS PowerPoint skills. Ability to travel up to 25%. Some flexibility will be required to connect with colleagues and markets in different time zones.
