Callwey is a leading publisher of high-quality lifestyle books focusing on the home and beyond. We publish around 40 new titles each year across architecture, design, interiors, gardening, food, fashion, travel and lifestyle. Driven by our passion for creating beautiful books, we inspire our readers and develop tailored solutions for our clients.
We are looking for an intern to join our Book Editorial Team as soon as possible, or at short notice by arrangement, for a period of five to six months.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
– Gain hands-on insight into the creation of high-quality coffee table books.
– Work closely with authors, graphic designers and photographers and learn how the visual concept and overall look of a book are developed.
– Carry out image research and competitor analysis and support the team with a variety of editorial tasks.
– Contribute to our digital platforms and social media communications, including creating your own content for our blog.
YOUR PROFILE
– You are currently studying Journalism, Communication Studies, Cultural Studies or a related subject and are required to complete a mandatory internship as part of your degree programme.
– You have a passion for books and digital media, ideally with some knowledge of SEO and social media.
– You are an excellent communicator with an open and proactive approach, and you are able to adapt quickly to new tasks and responsibilities.
– Ideally, you have some experience in publishing or the media industry.
– You are highly organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks.
– You are a native English speaker with very good German skills.
